Vessels of Praise (VOP)
is the main Worship Team of Capital Christian Worship Centre in
Zambia. As a worship and evangelistic team, the group is
composed of dedicated Spirit-filled believers who have a burning
passion to gladly usher God's people into a higher level of
Praise and Worship through anointed music. The team also has a
strong desire to reach out to lost souls in the continent of
Africa and beyond through their Holy Ghost birthed Christian
music.
VOP is pronounced as " VO-PPY" and derives its name from the
book of 2 Timothy 2: 20-21 that says " In a large house there
are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and
clay; some for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man
cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for
noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to
do any good work."
The team believes that if they sing about healing, people should
get healed. If they sing about deliverance, people should get
delivered and if they sing about encouragement, people should
get encouraged.
To achieve this, VOP believes in being used of God as Vessels
for noble purposes. A typical quotation from each member is " I
want to be relevant to the work of the Lord. If God can use
anything, He can surely use me. My life is surrendered entirely
to Him, and my humble prayer is that He may break me, mould me
into His likeness and use me as a Vessel to minister to His
Children. Here I am Lord, use me!"
Mission: to offer servant-hood kind of service to God and
thereby, assist Capital Christian Ministries International (CCMI)
in interpreting their dynamic vision of being "a Local Church
Based Multifaceted Christian Ministry in every Capital City of
Africa." through Praise and worship as well as evangelistic
music.
In this light, VOP will help to train worship leaders for CCMI
in every capital city of Africa where CCMI will be established.
Because of this great task ahead, the team believes in prayer
and fasting and living Godly lives. They believe that God has
called them into the ministry of Praise and worship and that He
Himself has set a standard for them to attain. Therefore, VOP
does not believe in competing with other ministers who are
equally called in this kind of ministry, but believes that they
should work together to complement one another knowing that, it
is God who calls all of them and has given them gifts and
abilities to be of relevance in advancing the Kingdom of God.
Current activities: Vessels of Praise is currently recording
their first Album that will have 13 songs on it. The first part
of the recording is being done in Zambia whilst the mixing and
mastering will be done in South Africa before end of this year.
The album will be launched on the international market in the
first quarter of 2005.
This album is a dedication to Apostle George and Reverend
Beatrice Mbulo for having heard God and above all, obeyed Him
concerning CCMI's vision. VOP, we will never ever forget the
sacrifice they have put into this ministry and their
encouragement to us not to give up but go on.
Look out for this anointed album that will make a difference in
the lives of many people across the nations.

Brief overview of the Album songs
The first song " We came to glorify" is a high praise kind of
song that encourages God's children to come into His house to
glorify and worship His name whilst the second one
"Ndofwa Jazz", a mixture of Bemba and English tells us
how God's children feel good in His presence. This Jazz (a sense
of feeling good) song has some Zam-Afro kind of beat fused with
Classical Jazz has been well received so far in the many live
performances that VOP has done.
"Numbanya" (meaning I praise) is another hit song that
has a fusion of Calypso, Kalindula music and ends on a Rhumba
note. It talks about a Believer who praises God and pledges to
continue doing so until Jesus comes to take them home.
"Yelelelele" the fourth song on the album is a darling
song of the people in the live performances and undoubtedly one
of the hit songs on the album. The song encourages believers to
praise God, dance for Him and preach the gospel whilst they
still have breach and power. For the "Grave can not Praise you
Lord, death cannot sing praises, but the living shall praise you
Lord as I do today" and the song goes on.
"Life without you" a very nice piece of rave music,
blends in well in this album. It is a special dedication to all
the youth's out there and talks about the emptiness that one has
without Jesus. The songs make a plea for Jesus not to leave you
(and of course He will never leave you nor forsake you) because
in His arms one feels the joy, warm, love and security.
"Saviour Jesus" is praise song done in Disco music. The
song was composed whilst connecting music equipment at Church in
preparation for a Sunday service. It talks about the Lord being
so good to a believer and as such, the more reason to praise
Him.
"Bow down in worship" a beautiful worship song that is
based on Psalm 95:6-7 adds another higher dimension of worship
to the album. It is a song of surrender and humility before God
Almighty in worship. It explains the purpose of why God created
us - that is to worship Him. It begins to take people into the
inner Courts of God's temple after entering His gates with
thanks giving and His Courts with Praise.
"Lord draw me" is another beautiful worship song that is
a prayer to God. It is a prayer that God may draw us near to Him
because in His presence there is liberty and fullness of joy. It
is a song that defines a relationship between a believer and God
and that, as one draws near to Him, God in turn draws near to
them.
"You're holy" is but one of the most inspiring worship
songs on the album that has a direct bearing on a believer
worshipping God from their heart and expressing how holy He is.
The song simply takes you into the very worship room of God with
Jesus as the mediator. Undoubtedly, one of the hit worship songs
on the album!
" He'll make a way" is a powerful song that encourages a
believer who is going through trials not to give up but that God
would make a way for them. God will melt the mountains before
their own eyes and pave a way.
"Muli ba mushilo" is a cool mid-tempo worship song that
is so powerful and has a message that will inspire many lives.
The song is about giving thanks in season and out of season.
Whether things are tough and appear not to be working out, one
should trust God who has better plans for them. Plans not to
harm them but to give them a hope for the future.
" Mwe Lesa wandi" a beautiful song done in Reggae music
is classic. It is about a believer expressing how good God is to
them and causes them to praise Him and sing for Him.
"Vision Africa" sums up the album list with some African
touch. This is a song that helps to explain the vision of
Capital Christian Ministries International. It explains the
apostolic calling of the ministry. The song is one way in which
VOP tries to help explain the vision of CCMI so that it can be
clearly understood.
Near Future:
Capital Christian Ministries International will set up a
Recording Studio under the custody of VOP through which many
Christian musicians and worship teams across denominations will
record their Music. The studio will have high quality Studio
Equipment and Music software of professional international
standards.
Realizing the need to produce music that is of good quality and
meeting international standards, CCMI will send some members to
get professional training in Audio Engineering so as to come and
operate the Studio equipment.
